2024 Street Reconstruction

Project Overview

The following streets will be reconstructed in 2024.

Vine Street

The City will be rehabilitating the existing pavement and making pedestrian improvements on Vine Street from Wisconsin Street to 600-feet east of Diamond Drive. The improvements will include full-depth reclamation, bituminous paving, and replacement of concrete curb & gutter. Pedestrian improvements will include trail widening, adding boulevard area, ADA curb ramp upgrades and adding pedestrian refuge islands at the Diamond Drive and Spruce Drive intersections.

The anticipated construction start date for Vine Street is June 3, 2024 with final completion at the end of August 2024.

Green Street

Green Street will be reconstructed from 11th Street to the cul-de-sac and will include bituminous paving, full curb and gutter replacement and storm sewer improvements. Hudson Utilities will be doing a separate sanitary sewer improvement project, including spot repairs and grouting. 

The anticipated construction schedule for Green Street is from the end of June 2024 to the end of August 2024.

The Vine Street detour will be in place starting June 3rd, 2024.

Business Access

JULY 22, 2024, UPDATE: Access to the YMCA and Professional Building from the east (Annabelle Way) will be closed from approximately 7/22 to 7/29 to allow for paving operations and curing time. Access will be maintained from the Diamond Drive intersection. 

The YMCA and Professional Building located at 2215 & 2217 Vine Street will be open during construction. These businesses can be access from the east and west as shown in the exhibit below.
