Applications and handouts provided by the Community Development Department are listed below. Please contact the Department staff prior to submitting any application.
All permits and applications related to planning and zoning can be dropped off or mailed to the City of Hudson, Community Development Department, 505 Third Street, Hudson, WI 54016. Please visit the Building Inspector webpage for building code information and building permit applications.

Other Permits
Fence and Sign permit fees must be paid (cash or check only) at the time the application is submitted. Once reviewed and processed; the permit, receipt, and any supplemental information will be sent via mail or email.
Sign Permit
Sign permits are required for any new and/or replacement signs as per Municipal Code Chapter 202 (Sign Ordinance (PDF)). A sign permit application (PDF) is to be submitted with the fee of $50 per sign (cash or check only). The application will be reviewed by the Community Development Department. If there are any issues, the applicant will be contacted. If the request complies with the sign code; the permit, receipt, and any supplemental information will be mailed or emailed to the applicant.
Fence Permit
Fence permits are required for any new and/or replacement fences as per Municipal Code Chapter 106-16 (Fence Code (PDF)). A fence permit application (PDF) is to be submitted with the fee (cash or check only). The application will be reviewed by the Community Development Department. If there are any issues, the applicant will be contacted. If the request complies with the fence code; the permit, receipt, and any supplemental information will be mailed or emailed to the applicant. Please note that an easement agreement and additional fee may be required if the fence is proposed to be located in an easement area.
